Naples, FL, bans gas leaf blowers

Last week, the City Council of Naples, Florida, voted unanimously to ban the use of gas-powered leaf blowers in the city at any time of year. In addition, battery- and electric-powered leaf blowers will be limited to 65 decibels (dBA). The ban will take effect in 12 months, in October 2021, to provide landscapers with lead time to make the transition to alternative tools and approaches. Congratulations to the city and residents of Naples!
